Luxury scalp spa
Scalp treatments in Smyrna, GA
The scalp comes first here.
Scalp detox, protein and bond treatments, hot oil massage, and red light renewal, at a studio on Spring Road in Smyrna that sits minutes from Atlanta, Vinings, and Cumberland, booked as their own appointments rather than tacked onto a style.

Root first
Why the scalp comes before the hair
Your scalp is skin. It has oil glands, a shedding cycle, and the same stubborn habit of holding onto product that the skin on your face has, which is why one ordinary week of gel, dry shampoo, sweat, and a satin bonnet can leave behind a film that a fast wash at the sink will not fully lift.
Hair grows up through that film. So the treatments sit in their own category on Whitney’s menu, priced and timed separately, instead of one apologetic line at the bottom of a styling list.
Healthy hair is the ultimate luxury. A luxury scalp spa is the literal version of that sentence: warm oil, slow hands, steam, red light, and enough time at the bowl that you stop reaching for your phone, which is the part that is hard to describe on a price list.
None of this is medical care. If you have a persistent rash, open sores, sudden patchy shedding, or pain that will not settle down on its own, see a dermatologist before you book anything on this page, because a salon cannot diagnose you.

Scalp & Treatment Rituals
The full treatment menu
Healthy hair starts at the scalp. These rituals restore, strengthen, and nourish from the root.
Match your symptom
Which treatment do I need
Six common scalp complaints, each one matched to services that already exist above.
Flakes on my shoulders
Flaking has more than one cause, and buildup is the one a salon can do something about, which is why a detox is the honest first move rather than a stronger shampoo.
Yellow, greasy scaling is a different problem, it does not answer to a wash, and it belongs with a dermatologist.
Start withHair & Scalp Detox, then a Hot Oil Scalp Massage if the scalp still feels tight afterward.
It itches, constantly
A detox lifts the product off, which is the only way to find out whether the product was ever the problem in the first place, and that is the question worth answering before you buy another bottle.
If it itches just as much afterward, stop guessing and see a dermatologist.
Start withHair & Scalp Detox.
Oily again two days after a wash
Washing too often, heavy creams, and oil applied straight to the root all end up in the same place, which is a scalp that feels coated again long before the week is out, and none of it looks like much in the mirror until it is well established.
Ask Whitney what to cut.
Start withHair & Scalp Detox to reset, then a plain Wash & Condition to hold the line between styling appointments.
My scalp feels tender or tight
Tight styles, tension along the hairline, and plain dryness all show up the same way, as a scalp that aches when you move your parts around.
Redness with it needs a doctor.
Start withHot Oil Scalp Massage, and mention the tenderness when you book so the pressure gets adjusted.
Buildup from braids or a protective style
Weeks under braids, a sew-in, or a crochet install leave residue that an ordinary shampoo skates straight over, and most of the time you cannot see any of it until the style comes down.
Book it for the takedown appointment.
Start withHair & Scalp Detox, plus a Deep Conditioner for the dryness the style left behind.
Thinning along my edges
Traction from tight styles is one cause of edge loss, it is not the only one, and nobody can tell you from a salon chair which cause is yours.
Loosen the tension first.
Nobody here will promise you regrowth, and edges move slowly enough that patience is part of the plan.
Sudden or patchy loss is a dermatologist visit, and it should happen soon rather than after the next style.
Start withRed Light Renewal, booked after a consultation about how your styles sit on the hairline.

Read up on your scalp
Four posts and one guide, all of them already on this site.
- Signs you need a scalp detoxThe tells that point at buildup rather than at plain dryness, and why the two keep getting confused.
- Dandruff vs dry scalpTwo problems, one name.
- Scalp massage benefitsWhat the massage does during a service, what it does not do, and why it turns up inside other appointments as often as it does on its own.
- Steam and red light therapy for hairHow both get used during an appointment, what the steam is actually for, why the red light session runs the way it does, and where each one sits alongside the rest of the menu.
- The silk press guideIts diagnostic covers scalp symptoms alongside silk press problems, so if the real complaint is how your hair behaves after a press, start over there.

Scalp treatment questions
How often should I book a scalp treatment?
It depends. How much product you use, how often you wash, whether you wear protective styles, and how much you sweat through a Georgia summer all move the answer around, and none of that fits on a printed menu. Bring it up in the chair.
Is a scalp detox just a clarifying shampoo?
No. The detox is a full service with its own long block of time on the books, not a bottle swap at the bowl, and the duration printed on the menu above is the clearest way to see the gap between the two.
Will this get rid of my dandruff?
Not a cure. Nothing on this menu is, and you should be wary of any salon in Atlanta or anywhere else that tells you otherwise. What a detox does is lift buildup, and what a hot oil service does is put warmth and moisture back into a scalp that has gone dry. Persistent flaking with redness or scaling is a skin condition. That one needs a dermatologist.
Can I add a treatment to a styling appointment?
Yes, and say so when you book. The services on this page run from a short add-on all the way to something past the two hour mark, so the appointment has to be built with that extra time already inside it rather than squeezed in at the end of a style.
My scalp seems fine. Is there a point?
Maybe not. If nothing itches, nothing flakes, and your hair is not breaking, a wash and a deep conditioner are probably all you need. The bigger services exist for the weeks when that stops being true.
